Kinetic Chain Release (KCR)

Imagine a technique that can correct chronic pain in 45 minutes.

Kinetic Chain Release, or KCR, has a profound effect on the human body. By having a KCR treatment, you can bring your body back into balance, reducing or altogether eliminating many existing physical disabilities and discomforts.

Kinetic Chain Release is a simple yet extremely effective system of medically recognized and approved, gentle joint mobilizations and stretches. These movements bring the physical body back into balance quickly and easily, frequently providing a high degree of relief and, in many cases, instant resolution from pain and discomfort.

This simple procedure is revolutionizing physical rehabilitation, often achieving complete and lasting results in one treatment, where all other forms of intervention had proven unsuccessful.

Everyone can benefit from KCR, from the very young to the aged, the casual golfer to the elite athlete.

What is Kinetic Chain Release (KCR)?

Kinetic Chain Release, or KCR for short, was first developed by Physiotherapist Hugh Gilbert and was built on the concept that the body’s joints and segments all affect one another in a “chain.” Through a unique sequence of stretches and mobilizations, KCR brings your entire body back into balance and helps correct posture. Bringing the body back into balance alleviates a multitude of issues including chronic pain, weak ankles, shoulder and neck pain, joint and hip pain, knee problems and a lot more.

How does KCR work?

Chronic pain symptoms like joint and muscle pain can have many contributing factors. The body’s posture tends to stray from its natural alignment as we age and can cause aches and pains to build. Issues can also arise from pregnancy or childbirth, regular life wear and tear, different leg lengths or just not sitting correctly.

Past physical trauma, such as an accident or fall, can cause trauma to myofascial tissues to protect the site of injury from further impact. If left untreated, the fascia can stay restricted and cause musculoskeletal imbalance in other parts of the body, also sometimes called referred pain. For example, and injury to your lower back or ankle can cause pain in another location in the body such as your glute muscle.

If you have tried various treatments for chronic pain but haven’t had any real results, it may be due to referred pain and the treatment you receive is on an area that isn’t causing the pain. In this situation KCR can be a highly effective treatment that focuses on joint mobilization and deep muscle stretches to bring the whole body back into alignment. Since this treatment works on the entire body, pain can be relieved in most areas.

“Kinetic Chain Release (KCR) seeks to unblock, harmonize and balance the physical body and its energies. Therefore, our goal is not simply to focus on correcting or compensating for your physical conditions and circumstances, but also to restore and enhance the free flow of the life force within you. It is a tool which should belong to everyone, and one day will.”
